Request from New Columnist for Parents Press Magazine

March 13, 2014 by Ruth Schwartz

pp-newlogoNew columnist for Parents Press magazine would like to hear from local authors of recent children’s books (traditionally published within the last six months—book can be anything from picture books to Y.A.). “Local” means larger Bay Area: as far north as San Rafael, as far east as Antioch, as far south as Fremont, as far west as the Pacific. Metropolitan Sacramento is okay too.

She is also interested in hearing from bloggers who write about kid issues, and from people who do crafts for kids, or have created new products for kids. She is not interested in events for kids. Please put “Parents press” in your subject line and email to [email protected]. Thanks so much!

Thanks for posting this, Ruth, and thanks for bolding ‘traditionally published.” Unfortunately I must keep to that restriction, although I know there are a lot of wonderful, wonderful indie-pubbed books out there!

We don’t call ourselves the Bay Area Independent Publishers Assn. for nothing. I have independently published six children’s gardening books through my own company Black Garnet Press. You’re missing out on excellent books independently published.
