(Click here for the schedule for the day)

MORNING PRESENTATION:

Sell More Books:
Laying the Foundation for Bigger Book Sales

Penny C. Sansevieri,
Founder and CEO Author Marketing Experts, Inc.

Many times we jump into the world of books with little or no planning. We have a great idea for a book and we sit down and write. Then comes the day when the book lands in the world and what happens? In most cases, nothing—sadly.

And then we learn about things like platform and branding, and the tips we wish we would have known earlier on. How many times have you heard an author say: I wish I would have known this before publishing my first book?

The words platform and brand are pretty confusing. It feels like jargon, but it really isn’t.

Does being a brand and having a platform matter? It absolutely does and this class will teach you some quick tools to getting more exposure, quicker.

Takeaways:

1. How does any of this drive book sales?
2. What’s a platform?
3. The key elements every author platform MUST include.
4. What matters to your readers?
5. Easy ways to research the things that matter to your audience.
6. Why being obsessed with your readers matters.
6. Secrets to creating a great author website (and why you need one).
6. How to develop a newsletter your readers will love.
6. Branding made easy: A few questions to ask yourself to help the process along.
6. Social media: where do you really need to be to drive book sales?
6. Promoting your book early—how early should you start?

AFTERNOON PRESENTATION:

An Afternoon with Penny Sansevieri
of Author Marketing Experts, Inc.

The afternoon session will consist of three main areas of focus:

  • Websites/branding and SEO
  • Amazon book pages & branding
  • Social media and branding

Penny will also offer free evaluations of author websites, Amazon book pages, or social media pages. She’ll get to as many as she can. You will get a link to a form to fill out in the email with the Zoom info that goes out Friday night, August 6 around 9 PM Pacific. Fill out that form ASAP to get your name added to the list!

Hi Ruth! I am trying to register for tomorrow’s morning session with Penny, but I can’t tell if I’ve actually succeeded. The website page suggests simply by logging in, I’ll be registered, but that doesn’t seem to do anything or prompt me to confirm my registration. Sorry to trouble you, but can you conform if I did register simply by logging in?

    Thank you!
    Beth

      Beth Ann –

As a current member of BAIPA, you do not need to register for the morning session at all. In fact, you should have gotten the Zoom info already. It came from mailto:[email protected]

If you want to register for the Afternoon Workshop, the instructions are to log in first and then go to the event page, scroll down to the bottom and buy yourself a ticket. I will send the Zoom info for the Afternoon Workshop out in the morning, at about 8 AM. I am heading to bed now.
