How to Maximize Your Amazon Sales Page with a Great Blurb

with John Byrne Barry

Before self-publishing, the publishers wrote the blurb. Now you’re the publisher, and you need a killer blurb to make your book visible in today’s crowded marketplace.

This is a hands-on workshop — we will solicit blurbs from authors in advance, and together, make them memorable. We’ll devote five to ten minutes to each blurb, putting the draft up on a slide on the shared screen and brainstorming and editing in real time.

If you would like us to edit your blurb in the workshop, submit a blurb of 200 words or less to [email protected] by Thursday, March 17. (But shorter is better.) One blurb per participant. Fiction or nonfiction. If you have a book cover, send that too, and I’ll include that on the slide next to the blurb. First-come, first-served. See more in How to Submit Your Blurb for Our March 19 ‘Killer Blurb’ Workshop.

You can participate in the workshop without submitting a blurb.

You’re welcome to submit a shorter blurb, for social media or Amazon ads, which limit you to 149 characters. (That’s how many are in this paragraph.)

This workshop WILL be recorded and a link will be sent to all paid participants by 6 PM on the following Monday.

In addition, tickets are available below for members who just want the recording for $15.00 each.

About Our Speaker

His most recent novel, When I Killed My Father: An Assisted-Suicide Family Thriller, is a “page-turner with a conscience” about a man caught between what is compassionate and what is legal. He’s also written for seed catalogs.
