July 10, 2021: It’s Show Time – How to Land and Perform on TV and Radio Shows

BAIPA monthly meetings are now exclusively on Zoom. The Zoom links will be provided to you via email on the Friday evening before, around 9 PM.
Therefore, all non-members MUST register in advance in order to participate. However, all current BAIPA members will get the Zoom info for the morning session automatically.

The general meeting begins at 9 am, the speaker presentation is at 11 am, after Q&A, networking time, introductions & announcements.

There is no afternoon workshop this month.

MORNING PRESENTATION:

It’s Show Time – How to Land and Perform on TV and Radio Shows

– Brian Jud –

Do you want to sell more books on TV and radio shows? This media training presentation will show you how to get on more shows and appear confident while delivering your message convincingly, with your words and actions. Discover how to maximize your on-air experiences in the four easy steps of preparation, Contact, performance, and follow-up. Learn how to perform on news shows, talk shows, panel discussions, and remote broadcasts – with many different formats. You will know when you should perform on shows – and when you should not. Find out how to use memory techniques if your mind goes blank, discover proven techniques to use when taking calls from the audience, and how to find fresh ways to improve your telephone interviews for radio shows.

Who should you contact to get on the show, and how? You will know after this presentation. You will also learn how to become the perfect television guest by using your body language, gestures, and facial expressions strategically and confidently.

About Our Speaker: Brian Jud

Brian Jud is the Executive Director of the Association of Publishers for Special Sales, an author, media trainer, and former co-host of the Writer’s RoundTable radio show and host of the television series The Book Authority that aired over 650 shows. It is the longest continuously running cable TV show in Connecticut. He has been the guest on over 1200 television and radio shows, including Today and CNN.

In addition, he is the author, narrator, and producer of the media-training video program You’re on The Air. He also wrote and published its companion guides, It’s Show Time and Perpetual Promotion. These describe techniques for authors to get on and perform on television and radio shows.

Brian is the CEO of Book Marketing Works, providing media training and marketing consulting for authors and book publishers.

BAIPA Monthly Meetings

IMPORTANT
BAIPA is now meeting on the first Saturday of every month via Zoom only for now. In general, if the first Saturday falls on a holiday or holiday weekend, we will meet on the second Saturday.

We are also having workshops on the third Saturday of every month (also via Zoom only for now. In general, if the regular monthly meeting moves to the second Saturday, then the workshop will be two weeks later.
