Going, Going … grab it while you can!
This is a quick reminder to BAIPA members that the special early rate for the 2016 San Francisco Writers Conference of $550 is about to end this weekend on May 31. The rate will be $650 starting June 1 through August 31. At-the-door price will be $795, but SFWC sells out every year before the event starts. So, if you want to be sure you have a seat and want to grab the early discount, visit sfwriters.com.
SFWC will feature a full faculty of bestselling authors, agents, editors and publishers … all in-person and ready to share their expertise with attendees.
The keynote speaker for 2016 will be Jane Friedman, the author of the book, Publishing 101. Friedman has more than 15 years of experience in the publishing industry, with expertise in digital media strategy for authors and publishers. She is known for thought-provoking talks on the future of authorship, and is a columnist for Publishers Weekly.

One of my favorite things about BAIPA is its culture of generosity, the willingness — even eagerness — to share what we have each learned in the process of bringing stories to life. We provide educational programs, networking, marketing opportunities, encouragement, and information on industry vendors and services. And lots of one-on-one advice and mentoring.
We welcome all who have an interest in making connections within the world of independent publishing and learning more about how to publish and sell their work successfully. Together we are raising the standard of independent publishing and helping our members thrive.
Do join us!
