Member John Cammidge is the proud owner of a new author website. 515 Media out of Denver developed the design, and the site address is now on his BAIPA profile.
“My old site focused on my first book, An Unplanned Encounter. Instead, I wanted it to focus on me as an author and writer. Having written my second story, Bonfire Nights, and started a Novella Blog, it didn’t make sense any more to have the site dedicated to my first novel.”
“There were other reasons,” he added. “I needed to renounce my pen name since it confused people as to who I am — my first novel was published under the author pen name of Jonathan Husband — and there were new plugins necessary such as SEO and Mail Chimp, social media links had to be strengthened, the site required an improved response to handheld devices, and I wanted it to appear more attractive.”
The Novella Blog is intended to prompt return visits to the website. A new chapter of the novella, Abandoned in Berlin, will be published every two weeks or so until the mystery is solved (or declared unsolvable).
“It’s essentially a true story,” John explained. “Some of the names have been changed or hidden to protect anonymity, but as the story unfurls, it’s very much as it happened. An only child of a parent evicted by the Nazis from her home in Berlin during 1936 visits the city in June 2016, on a Rick Steves travel tour. She finds the large apartment block her grandparents owned before World War II. When they were alive, her grandparents and parents preferred not to discuss events that happened before, during and immediately after the war. She is encouraged by people living in the apartment block now, whom she stumbles across serendipitously, to investigate what happened there, and why. She becomes a sleuth dedicated to discovering the history of her ancestral home. Should you wish to read more directly, the site address is: johnrcammidge.com or you can click on the image above.

This is a nice website. I would suggest that John have his web designer make these three small CSS changes which will give the the site a cleaner look.
body.custom-background {
background-color: #fff;
}
.header-row-3 {
margin-bottom: 0px;
}
body.custom-background .main-wrapper {
box-shadow: none;
}
