The Poof! Academy Collection is Finally Here

June 24, 2020 by CallieRaab89

Dear BAIPA family,

I’m finally published!—after writing eighty-plus children’s stories over thirty-five years! The Poof! Academy — a collection of fairy tales that teach kids to read — is now available at amazon.com, soon to be followed by The Poof! Academy II and my novel The Improbable Voyage of the Poof! Academy.

So if you have kids in your life, ages 7-10 — or if you know of any — please take a look at my singular book, which introduces and provides practice with all the common letter patterns in English. During this Covid-19 crisis, when parents are having to provide some of their kids’ schooling, I’m confident that my Poof ! series will prove a helpful learning aid. You might let any schoolteacher or librarian friends know about it too.

For their expertise and support, I want to thank my BAIPA team: book midwife Ruth Schwartz; marketing expert Judy Baker; editors Karin Fisher-Golton, Arlene Miller, and Rosina Wilson; graphic artist Lorna Johnson; and my first beta readers, author/journalist Woody Weingarten and his granddaughter Hannah. It wouldn’t be the same book without you.

And if you’re looking for projects to keep the kids in your life busy, you might want to visit my website, eagerreaderpress.com, which offers additional stories, as well as activities for kids and adults to do together.
