Ten West Coast Writing Conferences in 2022

March 1, 2022 by Pauline Wiles

After almost two years with few in-person writer gatherings taking place, 2022 heralds new optimism. Organizers of several long-standing writing conferences have publicized plans for live events later this year. No doubt these conventions will bring fresh energy after the hiatus forced by COVID-19.

Many of this year’s conferences offer a hybrid option, so you can attend in person or online, according to your comfort level, budget, and schedule.

Here are ten writers’ conferences planned for 2022 in the western part of the USA. For many BAIPA members, these venues are, if not exactly local, then perhaps just a road trip away.

Be sure to check individual websites carefully before making firm plans. By now, we’ve all learned that events can and do change at short notice.
