(Ed. Note: IPNE —the Independent Publishers of New England — is a sister organization of BAIPA. Odile Sullivan-Tarazi sits on the IPNE board as chair of the book awards program.)
The Book Awards at IPNE began about a decade ago, as an ambitious venture at a fledgling organization. From there it has grown and blossomed.
Who are we? We’re a modest program that believes in quality and strives to support authors. We are not a conglomerate. We are not a profit center. We don’t engage in upsell. The aim of the program is to celebrate fine books and to help readers connect with books they will love.
