Conference
For those interested in the possibilities of publishing book apps, you can attend the AppsWorld conference at Moscone Center in San Francisco May 12-13. Although the conference is expensive, you can get a free pass (through March 27), which enables you to browse the trade floor (350 vendor/exhibitors, including marketing services) and attend certain events and seminars (but not all).

See you there.
Voice-Audio Report
During the break between the morning and afternoon presentations at the BAIPA meeting on February 7, I will report on recording voice for use in digital publications. Before you can enhance an ebook with voice, you need to be able to record it. Bring your lunch.
Monaca
Read my latest blog post, which features Monaca, an inexpensive app authoring service. If you can do HTML (and anyone can), you can make an app. More specifically, you can make a book app (iOS, Android, Win 8, or Chrome Apps).
