New BAIPA member Karin Fisher-Golton has written a new book, My Amazing Day: A Celebration of Wonder and Gratitude. She says:
Here is a review I wanted to share with BAIPA members–both because I am very pleased and honored by what the reviewer saw in my book, and also because I think some of the members might be interested in the discussion of how children’s literature can address issues of racial bias and identity.
A fun fact about my book for BAIPA members is that the photos for the book were shot in the Hamilton area of Novato. I am the author and I collaborated with Lori A. Cheung, an award-winning photographer, and Elizabeth Iwamiya, a graphic and fine artist.
We raised almost $10,000 via Kickstarter to print the book.
