Travel Author Turns Book Content Into App

April 26, 2017 by Lee Foster

Could the content of your BAIPA book appear as an “app”? The answer is “maybe.”

It’s worth looking at the categories of apps in the Apple iTunes App store. There might be more possibilities than you think.

An app is book content enhanced by some kind of software. It is something other than an ebook. Apps usually run on smaller devices, such as phones and tablets, rather than on full size laptops and desktops.

The Apple App Store sold about $40 billion in apps this past year. The Google Play Android App Store actually surpassed it, selling about $42 billion in apps. App sales are an entirely different selling ecosystem from print books/ebooks.

I have just released my new and improved travel content app on San Francisco, titled “SF Travel & Photo Guide.” The app is available for $3.99 in the Apple and Google app stores.

The app has been announced on my website. I have also answered some questions about the app on my website. Now I am releasing the content of the app in 10 “clusters” as yet another form, a “website book.”

If you have more questions about apps, contact me at [email protected].
