Karin Fisher-Golton’s book, My Amazing Day: A Celebration of Wonder and Gratitude is currently in two giveaways.
The first of those, a Goodreads Giveaway, was inspired by discussions at BAIPA meetings. Karin decided to have the Goodreads Giveaway during the month of November (Thanksgiving) because the theme of gratitude ties in with her book. She is giving away two signed books in honor of the second anniversary of the book’s release. The Giveaway ends November 30.
Karin hopes you will enter on her My Amazing Day‘s Goodreads Giveaway page. The book makes a great gift for babies and toddlers. Please share, too!
In addition, a signed copy of My Amazing Day will be one of many giveaways at the December 11 virtual release party for Sharon Chang’s book, Raising Mixed Race: Multiracial Asian Children in a Post-Racial World. The event can be found on Facebook.
My Amazing Day‘s photos feature a multi-racial child, a member of a group that is significantly underrepresented in children’s literature. In April 2014, Sharon Chang wrote a review of My Amazing Day, which included a thoughtful discussion of the role of race and identity in children’s books. Karin began following Sharon Chang’s work at that time, and knows that Sharon’s new book has been very well-researched. The topic is relevant to everyone with multi-racial children in their lives. Karin is proud to have My Amazing Day be part of its release party.
