Gorgon Burgett Explains How to Build a Profitable Publishing Empire at May 9 BAIPA Meeting

April 20, 2015 by Jeffrey Samorano

It’s a huge feather in your cap to have your books in print … unless those books are eventually half-forgotten and mostly unsold. Let’s convert your genius, knowledge and expertise into the ka-ching of silver crowns and gold doubloons!

Gordon Burgett

Longtime BAIPA member Gordon Burgett’s expertise is in empire-building and niche publishing. During the May 9 BAIPA meeting at the Key Room in Novato (details at www.baipa.org), Gordon will tell us how to expand what we know into our own profitable writing-speaking-publishing empire.

The morning presentation will address how authors—whether nonfiction writers or novelists—can jumpstart their book sales and propel themselves into being in demand as speakers and interviewees. Gordon will describe how we can reposition ourselves and make the most of our special expertise, using our book as the core of our empire, with print interviews and high-paying speeches leading to heightened book sales, long-term income growth, and a solid reputation in our field. He will also explain the miracle of what he calls “topic-spoking.”

Niche PublishingGordon will focus on the creation of a recharged frame of mind, reinforced by five surefire money paths, six plans with an almost 100% guarantee of financial return, 20 ways that will multiply your core idea and book exposure, 35+ ways to share the heart of your book(s), 12 more books likely hiding in your first tome, an ingenious way to divide your current book into six more books, and placing yourself on a direct path to high-paying speeches. Attendees will receive a free, autographed copy of Burgett’s Niche Publishing: How to Publish Profitably Every Time.

The afternoon session is a hands-on period where Gordon will guide six attendees who filled out a form at the last BAIPA meeting to strategically design a surefire, no-nonsense plan to create an empire. Some of the morning magic will be involved, augmented by participants’ collective publishing wisdom and experience. There will be scores of ideas, redirected visions, original marketing concepts, and fresh paths to explore. By sharing radical rethinking, new empires (with new emperors and empresses) may happen.
