Jackie Thompson

Jackie Thompson is the Content Acquisition Senior Key Account Manager for Ingram Content Group, focusing on business development for Ingram’s digital distribution and print-on-demand services. At the September meeting, Jackie will be discussing Indie publishing today in the context of overall book industry trends, and how to leverage opportunities and meet challenges intelligently.

Jackie started in book publishing with Wiley and has held management positions at some of the most highly-respected independent publishers on the West Coast, including Timber Press, New Harbinger Publications, and Nolo. She has served as a board member for PubWest and the Society for the Study of Native Arts and Sciences, and has spoken at many industry conferences, including the Association of American Publishers and PubWest. Her experience extends beyond traditional book publishing to e-books, software, and B2B digital content licensing.
