MORNING PRESENTATION:
How to Make Sure your Book Cover is Doing its Job — Regardless of Medium or Genre
David Kudler, John Byrne Barry, and Suzanne Parrott
You may not be able to judge a book by its cover — but that doesn’t mean that people don’t every day. Your cover has a very important job to do, so are you sure it’s up to the job?
For this year’s annual cover design event, we have invited three top experts (David Kudler, John Byrne Barry, and Suzanne Parrott) to discuss four aspects of book cover design: composition, color, typography, and branding.
The panel will also provide live feedback of two or three BAIPA authors’ book covers, AND we will have our usual cover design contest. See this blog article for details on submitting your books for both opportunities, as well as some useful content about cover design.
The panel will be moderated by Ruth Schwartz.
