The first Bay Area Book Festival (BABF) is coming to downtown Berkeley on Saturday and Sunday, June 6-7, 2015. The Festival would like to invite BAIPA authors to participate as exhibitors in this exciting inaugural entirely free to the public event.
BABF will feature more than 150 of the world’s best authors in auditoriums throughout the Arts District, and outside on a half-square-mile area that will be closed to traffic and filled with 100 exhibitors.
The Festival’s promoters are expecting to draw more than 100,000 visitors to enjoy book booths, book signings, presentations, panel discussions, storytelling, a huge children’s arena and stage, a cooking stage and an extraordinary public art installation made from 50,000 books!
In order to participate, your exhibit must be related to books or literacy—you may be a bookseller, magazine or journal publisher, book artist or craftsperson, author, literacy or literary organization.
To find out more or to fill out an application, visit the Bay Area Book Festival website, or contact Lisa Bullwinkel at [email protected] with any questions about the event, the application, or sponsorships. Standard rates are in effect until March 31, 2015.
