Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 8, at 7pm, and come out for a Left Coast Writers’ book launch event for Kissing the Sky: Poetry and Photography by
BAIPA member Cristina Olsen at the Book Passage in Corte Madera.
“Kissing the Sky is an autobiography of the soul in poetic and visual form that begins with loss and loneliness, but soon transforms into love and an expansive freedom of the soul. From post-war London to the vast Pampas of Argentina, from Buenos Aires to the Hills of Novato, California, I weave a meditative tapestry of poetry, poetic prose, and photography celebrating the beauty of nature and its power to transform pain into joy.”—Olsen’s description of the book.
Originally from Argentina, she came to the San Francisco when she was 14. Her education includes dual undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology and anthropology, philosophy and religion, and a Doctorate in Spirituality and Geography from the Graduate Theological Union and University of California, Berkeley.
