Two Bay Area book marketing experts, Judy Baker and Judy Reyes, both active leaders of BAIPA, will present their new workshop, “Building Your Self-Promotion Platform: From Strategy to Action Steps for Independent Authors,” on April 22 in Santa Rosa, as part of the 2017 Redwood Writers Academy.
Designed to help independent authors overcome the most challenging issues in book marketing, this workshop includes how to plan for a successful book launch and addresses the five essential areas of building your self-promotion platform — identity, scheduling, growing your fan-base, connecting with influencers, and measuring results.
Baker and Reyes are professional business coaches who have been serving entrepreneurs and authors since 1994. The Judys joined forces as Book Marketing Mentor in 2016. Both have taught marketing and skill-building workshops for the Sonoma Chamber of Commerce, the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County, Sonoma County Adult School, the Small Business Development Center, BAIPA, and Redwood Writers. They recently launched their website, bookmarketingmentor.com
The April 22 workshop, the second of three workshops in the 2017 Redwood Writers Academy, goes from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Flamingo Hotel, 2777 4th Street, Santa Rosa. Cost is $25 for members of Redwood Writers, $35 for non-members. To register, or for more information, go to redwoodwriters.org/workshops or call (707) 938.2586.
