Five BAIPA members will be featured as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) at the lively semi-annual Written Word Mixer in Petaluma. BAIPA President Becky Parker Geist will lead a breakout session on voiceover services for audiobooks, BAIPA Blog Editor Linda Jay will be SME for book manuscript copyediting, Frances Caballo will be social media strategist/manager SME, Lorna Johnson will be printing broker SME, and Arlene Miller will be blogging SME.
Other SMEs will cover building a writer’s platform, starting from ground zero, working with editors, publishing, and screen writing. The Mixer was started by John Crowley, founder of Aqus Cafe in Petaluma.
The Written Word Mixer will be held Wednesday, May 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the Petaluma Arts Center, 230 Lakeville Street (corner of East Washington Street) in Petaluma. Phone is: 707-762-5600. There is a $15 entrance fee, $5 for Arts Center members and Aqus Cafe members. Light snacks will be served; beverages will be available for purchase.
