Lee Edwin Foster, July 23, 1943 – July 19, 2020
Lee Foster was an award-winning travel writer, winner of eight Lowell Thomas Awards — including being named Lowell Thomas Travel Journalist of the Year, one of the most coveted prizes in the travel writing world — and a key member of BAIPA for many years. He left the planet on July 19, 2020, in his sleep.

Current BAIPA members do not need to register for our monthly meetings. The night before the meetings, they will receive the Zoom info. For workshop registration, currently, members get in free for all workshops and will receive the Zoom info the night before the meetings, as well as in the confirmation email.
Yes, Lee left us too soon. I have been getting rid of a lot of my Carousel Press publisher days files and Lee’s name is sprinkled throughout. Sigh.
What a lovely tribute to Lee. And you poignantly captured the quality of the expected unexpected process we’re all in together. It is still shocking to me that he is gone.
