ATTENTION, ALL BAIPA MEMBERS AND GUESTS! OUR MAY MEETING DAY HAS BEEN CHANGED!
Well . . . as the cliché goes, “Due to unforeseen circumstances . . .” we need to change the date of our May meeting from May 14 to May 7.
Although our monthly meetings are normally held on the second Saturday of the month, we had to make a change just for this month. Please make a note of that on your calendar and we apologize for any inconvenience. We hope to see all of you at the Key Room on Saturday, May 7.
We are fortunate to have two great speakers for this meeting!
Author and social media expert Frances Caballo will speak in the morning, from 11am to 12:15pm, and will burst the myth that social media has to be a time-consuming endeavor. She will also share her four-step strategy to help you meet your marketing goals and still have time to do what you love—write.
And in the afternoon, join former BAIPA President, and well-known book designer and self-publishing expert Joel Friedlander from 1-3pm, who will be speaking about “Blogging for Authors.” Joel will look at the most important aspects of using a blog successfully, and how to get started. He is also offering a personal blog critique to anyone who signs up for the workshop.
More details about the speakers and their presentations can be found at: MayMeeting.

One of my favorite things about BAIPA is its culture of generosity, the willingness — even eagerness — to share what we have each learned in the process of bringing stories to life. We provide educational programs, networking, marketing opportunities, encouragement, and information on industry vendors and services. And lots of one-on-one advice and mentoring.
We welcome all who have an interest in making connections within the world of independent publishing and learning more about how to publish and sell their work successfully. Together we are raising the standard of independent publishing and helping our members thrive.
Do join us!
