At the September BAIPA meeting, I mentioned a new process at KDP that I think could add considerable sales opportunity to Amazon selling our products. I promised to explain it more fully, so here it is. It’s called a “series bundle,” and it lets you make one package of two or more paperbacks or ebooks, to be sold as a series.
For example, I just made two paperbacks about setting up your own treasure hunt into a series. See Treasure Hunt Series to see how the buyer of one will be led directly to the other. (I did the same procedure to the ebooks for those paperbacks. That bundle is also posted at KDP.) Mine were nonfiction, but to see the same in fiction, go to The Dublin Trilogy Book Series (actually four books). In a month, I will have also posted a seven-ebook series bundle called the K-12 School Leaders Series. The buyer of one of the books will be directly linked to the other six companion niche books.
There’s a process to follow to take part, but the stipulations are sensible and doable. The books have to be: on the same general topic, published by KDP, and offered in logical order! Even better, the Amazon folks in this program seem friendly and eager to help. For details, contact ac-no-reply+A18Ic7WXR2VBOY@amazon.com and ask in the “Subject” line for a copy of the Series Bundles Information Sheet. It will tell you all you need to know.

One of my favorite things about BAIPA is its culture of generosity, the willingness — even eagerness — to share what we have each learned in the process of bringing stories to life. We provide educational programs, networking, marketing opportunities, encouragement, and information on industry vendors and services. And lots of one-on-one advice and mentoring.
We welcome all who have an interest in making connections within the world of independent publishing and learning more about how to publish and sell their work successfully. Together we are raising the standard of independent publishing and helping our members thrive.
Do join us!
