Clearly, the potential market for books as apps is much larger than the market for eBooks. Unfortunately, there is also a technology gap for authors and publishers between eBooks and book apps. One way to begin to bridge that gap is to attend the Apps World North America, to be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara on May 11-12.
You can get a free pass to walk around the trade show, talk with the vendors, and attend some presentations. Whether the
experience will be productive for you is a good question, but for sure, it will give you exposure to the strange and different world
that is the future of publishing.
