Are you ready for your work to be discovered? Don’t miss this once-a-year window of opportunity. In addition to the recognition that can open doors in the publishing world, the Grand Prize winner of the SFWC Writing Contest will receive $500 and a 15-minute in-person meeting at the conference (or a scheduled telephone call) with a literary agent. First place winners in each category will receive checks for $100.
You may enter the contest in the following categories:
- Adult Fiction
- Adult Nonfiction
- Poetry
- Children’s/YA Books
Entries can be up to 1500 words in length (or less) and may have been self-published or not-yet published, but not traditionally published. Entering is easy: Just complete the form online and upload your story or poem. If you must use snail mail, instructions are online.
Entries must be received by January 8, 2016. Finalists will be announced on the SFWC website after January 26, 2016 and the winners will be announced on stage during lunch on Friday, February 12 at the Conference.
The fee is $35 per entry. The rules and entry form can be found at SFWriters.
