This is a delightful turn of events, given that it used to take from a few days to a couple of weeks to get a LOC# assigned once requested.
What this means is that you can immediately apply for a PCIP data block (my recommendation is Cassidy Cataloguing Services).
One more note about LOC#: The Pre-Pub Book Link system is designed for requesting LOC# at least one month before publication.
