My first novel, inspired by my grandparents’ lives as Western pioneers, was published in January 2017 through Createspace. Recently, I also have published via Kindle and Ingram Spark (POD and e-books). Here’s the link to purchase the print book through IndieBound. Launch, Crunch, Oh My!
What a journey it’s been to go from the book concept to publication and then to promotion! I threw a book launch party in January, which was well-attended despite a rainstorm of epic proportions that day. My second book launch party planned for February had to be unexpectedly canceled. On an ordinary day at the end of January outside of my San Francisco office, I fell and broke my arm! Surgery and recovery are going well, but of course too slowly for me! I am itching to get back to my computer once my hand and arm are fully healed.

Doing the television interview was challenging. It was professionally produced. It was great learning to speak in front of the camera. As most of us do, I cringe a little watching myself on the screen. Feedback helps me learn. I can take the interview questions and develop some of the answers that I’d like to have ready, “in my pocket,” so to speak. Then, it’s a matter of practicing my presentation, being “relaxed,” and smiling more as I explain my story.
