The 14th annual San Francisco Writers Conference, called by many one of the premier writers’ conferences in the United States, will be held at the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco on Presidents’ Day Weekend, from February 16-19, 2017.
There will be 100 sessions for writers; the schedule will be posted soon at SFWriters.org. Go there to find out all the details of this immensely popular conference.
Keynoters this year include best-selling authors Heather Graham, William Bernhardt, and John Perkins. There will be 120 presenters, from authors to literary agents, editors and publishers from major houses.
For the fourth consecutive year, BAIPA will have an exhibitor table at the San Francisco Writers Conference.
Half-day and full-day classes are being offered this year! “A La Carte” classes taught by two of the keynote speakers and many other presenters, on topics ranging from craft to publishing basics and from getting grants to … sword fighting? Yes, indeed. Classes will be held on either Thursday, February 16 or Monday, February 20. Check the times and days online.

One of my favorite things about BAIPA is its culture of generosity, the willingness — even eagerness — to share what we have each learned in the process of bringing stories to life. We provide educational programs, networking, marketing opportunities, encouragement, and information on industry vendors and services. And lots of one-on-one advice and mentoring.
We welcome all who have an interest in making connections within the world of independent publishing and learning more about how to publish and sell their work successfully. Together we are raising the standard of independent publishing and helping our members thrive.
Do join us!
