Persistence pays! A few months ago, BAIPA member Laurie King entered her first collection of travel stories, originally published in 2014, in several contests. She didn’t have high hopes, because the book hadn’t previously won any awards, but thought she’d give it a go anyway.
Surprise! And a lesson here for all BAIPA authors! Keep on keeping on!!!

- North American Book Awards 2017: Silver Award, Travel category
- San Francisco Book Festival 2017: First Place Winner, General Non-fiction category
