Need a virtual vacation? Cornwall’s moors and mineshafts, castles and Camelot, magic and Merlin are as close as the Novato Public Library, where Laurie McAndish King will read from the recently released Wandering in Cornwall — Mystery, Mirth and Transformation in the Land of Ancient Celts. The anthology of 30 travel stories and poems was independently published by Wanderland Writers this year. Jim Shubin, the Book Alchemist, designed and produced the cover and interior.
Laurie will read an excerpt from her story about smugglers, or maybe the one about mermaids, or perhaps the one about DH Lawrence. Other readers include Anne Sigmon, Antoinette Constable, Daphne Beyers, Ethel Mussen, Linda Watanabe McFerrin, and Maryly Snow.
Saturday, December 5th • 11 until noon • Free Event • Easy Parking • Delicious Nibbles • And a perfect $14.95 holiday gift for every Anglophile on your list.
Feel free to bring a friend. Please use this link to RSVP so the library can estimate how many chairs to put out and Wanderland Writers can bring tasty treats for all.

One of my favorite things about BAIPA is its culture of generosity, the willingness — even eagerness — to share what we have each learned in the process of bringing stories to life. We provide educational programs, networking, marketing opportunities, encouragement, and information on industry vendors and services. And lots of one-on-one advice and mentoring.
We welcome all who have an interest in making connections within the world of independent publishing and learning more about how to publish and sell their work successfully. Together we are raising the standard of independent publishing and helping our members thrive.
Do join us!
