Work-In-Progress Wednesdays
Is your video project speaking clearly to your audience? Come to Work-in-Progress Wednesdays and receive feedback by an industry pro.
Hollywood film editor, author, and educator Gael Chandler will facilitate a FREE forum, this Wednesday, September 2, from 6:30-8:30pm at the Media Center, 816 A Street, San Rafael.
“Consider it a free focus group,” says Chandler, who will critique sample clips representing three short-form or two long-form projects during each two-hour session.
If your project is ready, come to watch others’ videos and learn how to improve your own. Two interesting projects, one from fellow BAIPA member Dick Jordan, is already on the docket.

She has taught editing practices and history at Loyola Marymount University and California State Universities at Long Beach, Los Angeles, and Northridge, and has trained hundreds of professionals, independent filmmakers, professors, and students to operate digital editing equipment.
She has also written a handful of feature screenplays, and is the author of two books; Cut by Cut: Editing Your Film or Video, and Film Editing Great Cut Every Filmmaker and Movie Lover Must Know.

One of my favorite things about BAIPA is its culture of generosity, the willingness — even eagerness — to share what we have each learned in the process of bringing stories to life. We provide educational programs, networking, marketing opportunities, encouragement, and information on industry vendors and services. And lots of one-on-one advice and mentoring.
We welcome all who have an interest in making connections within the world of independent publishing and learning more about how to publish and sell their work successfully. Together we are raising the standard of independent publishing and helping our members thrive.
Do join us!
