Ten Years is a Big Deal!
BAIPA President Becky Parker Geist is celebrating ten years in business on Tuesday October 24, 2023.
Here are some stats on what it means to make it to the 10-year mark:
- 20% of new businesses close within a year
- 30% fail in the second year
- 50% fail by year 5
- Which totals out to 3% of businesses make it past 5 years!
- And 21.4% of businesses are owned by women (we’re one of those)

This has been a super exciting year for us with the launch of AMPlify Audiobooks™ – a suite of marketing tools and a platform that helps writers effectively sell their audiobooks, so they can keep doing what they love! Current BAIPA members do not need to register for our monthly meetings. The night before the meetings, they will receive the Zoom info. For workshop registration, members can buy a member ticket and will receive the Zoom info the night before the meetings, as well as in the confirmation email.
