BAIPA has an opportunity to become a sponsor for the 2024 San Francisco Writers Conference February 15-18 at the Hyatt Regency (across from the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero).
We can get a table at the conference and get our organization in front of hundreds of writers and publishing professionals.
The catch is that we need volunteers to staff the table. Volunteers will be able to participate in the conference events on the day they volunteer. If we can schedule two or three volunteers per day, then they’ll be plenty of time to take advantage of the conference offerings.
The conference runs from February 15 (Thursday) at 1 pm until February 18 (Sunday) midday, though we may concentrate on the two full days (Friday and Saturday). Find out more at www.sfwriters.org.

If you’re interested, fill out this form asap so we can decide if we have enough volunteers. We would especially love it if one of our members volunteered to coordinate this SFWC volunteer process and/or bring our signs and materials to the venue, which will mean driving there. If you can do that, contact John Byrne Barry at webmaster@baipa.org.

One of my favorite things about BAIPA is its culture of generosity, the willingness — even eagerness — to share what we have each learned in the process of bringing stories to life. We provide educational programs, networking, marketing opportunities, encouragement, and information on industry vendors and services. And lots of one-on-one advice and mentoring.
We welcome all who have an interest in making connections within the world of independent publishing and learning more about how to publish and sell their work successfully. Together we are raising the standard of independent publishing and helping our members thrive.
Do join us!
