I'm a developmental editor, a line editor, and a book coach. As an editor, I work with short- and long-form narrative nonfiction, with flash and short fiction, and increasingly with novels as well. I also judge fiction (literary, contemporary, and general) and nonfiction (memoir, self-help, and essays) through several awards programs, and I've been an editorial reviewer of the same. I’ve worked as an editor, and later a senior or managing editor, in various contexts over the last thirty-plus years. Most recently, I redesigned The Book Awards at IPNE and I currently coordinate the program.
