This workshop offers a practical, big-picture framework for writers who want to finish your work and start publishing—whether you’re working on a collection of short pieces, a memoir, a novel, or long-form nonfiction.
You’ll come away with a plan to map out an entire year of writing, sharing, and building toward self-publishing your book—while also creating an online presence that reaches the readers eager to hear your voice. The approach combines storytelling, platform-building, and publishing in a manageable, motivating way.
We’ll explore how short-form publishing—through blogs, Substack, and other online platforms—can support long-term goals by helping you refine your ideas, build an audience, and stay creatively engaged. We’ll also look at how to plan your writing and publishing tasks over time to reduce overwhelm and maintain momentum.
This workshop is especially helpful for writers juggling multiple works-in-progress who want to connect the dots between story creation, audience growth, and eventual book publication. Whether you’re at the beginning of your writing journey or deep in a draft, you’ll leave with clarity and confidence to move forward.
We’ll also touch on how to use today’s AI tools to support the writing and publishing process—from brainstorming and organization to editing and outreach.
This workshop is for writers who are ready to stop spinning their wheels and start making meaningful, consistent progress—on their own terms.
Key Takeaways:
- Create a flexible 12-month publishing plan that integrates both short and long-form projects
- Use platforms like Substack or your blog to build visibility and test ideas in public
- Break down your writing, marketing, and publishing tasks into manageable monthly milestones
- Explore ways to use AI tools to support idea generation, editing, and book planning.
