BAIPA, which is totally run and managed by volunteers, is now recognizing volunteers with valuable prizes for their contributions. Sandra McGee, who stepped up at the beginning of this year to help with blog postings, is the first recipient. She was recognized at the November meeting.
The valuable prize? A book by a BAIPA author. The recipient chooses the book he or she wants and BAIPA purchases it. It’s win-win: The deserving volunteer gets a “free” book and one of our authors gets a sale. We plan to make this a somewhat regular recognition.
The book Sandra chose was Arlene Miller’s The Best Little Grammar Book Ever! Congratulations to Sandra and Arlene.
Hint, hint: To be considered for this valuable prize, all you need to do is volunteer. Here are some ways you can do so — Volunteer with BAIPA.
If you’d like to volunteer, contact a member of the board or send an email to [email protected].
