Mill Valley–based author and BAIPA board member John Byrne Barry’s second novel Wasted, a “green noir” mystery set in the Berkeley recycling world, earned a spot in the Top 100 Notables as part of Shelf Unbound’s 2016 competition for the best independently published books.
Barry’s first novel, Bones in the Wash: Politics is Tough. Family is Tougher, won last year’s BAIPA Best Book Award.
