Beyond the Book
Let’s assume that your novel or non-fiction book has been published. Gordon Burgett will teach you how to take your genius—the expertise you gathered from researching and writing the book—and “expand what you know into a profitable writing, publishing, and speaking empire.”
Gordon will help you stretch and convert your book’s unique knowledge into enough profitable, related products and services to reward you in prestige and fortune. Your expertise about your book’s subject will be the foundation of your own empire. He will also talk about incorporating the growth of your empire into the second book from the outset.
You will learn how your expertise can be expanded and positioned into more books, speeches, seminars, services, consulting, teaching and video. What are topic-spoking and product pre-testing, hot-buy benefits, dice and describe, and cross-sell? Find out, and also identify and strengthen the buying need for your book.
Gordon will explain his whole concept in the first session, using some of the books you’ve written as examples. He’ll talk about selling structures, four-figure speaking checks, and sharing what you’re doing with other experts in your field. You will be directed to scores of free guidance links and given a worksheet, plus a free copy of Gordon’s book Niche Publishing: Publish Profitably Every Time!

Gordon will describe what information dissemination means and take you step by step you through two actual case studies (one using a niche marketing before-you-write process, the other using a more typical marketing configuration); guide a 30-minute, five-to-a-table worksheet creation exchange; then answer questions, integrating great ideas from the participants, and finally summarizing what we have shared that day. He will also be glad to answer questions for 30 minutes or so after the program ends.
Gordon Burgett currently speaks nationwide about three topics, “How to Publish Your Own Book in 30 Days or Less,” “Niche Publishing,” and “How to Plan a Great Second Life,” offering keynotes, break-out sessions, and workshops at conventions, retreats, and colleges or universities.

Burgett has published 1,700+ articles and 39 books, plus offered over 2,000 professional paid presentations. During that time he has appeared extensively on radio and TV, as a guest author and a publishing specialist. Burgett is a long-standing member of the National Speakers Association, the American Society of Authors and Journalists, and the Independent Book Publishers Association.
