MORNING PRESENTATION:

Starting a Podcast
The Who, What, Why, When, and How to Start a Podcast

Dave A. Jackson: Owner, School of Podcasting

This presentation starts with “What is a podcast?” and fills in all the blanks for those looking to understand podcasting. We will address the most asked questions and concerns, including:

1. What do I need?
2. How much does it cost?
3. Do I need to be a geek?
4. I hate my voice.
5. I hate technology.
6. Who would listen to me?

Find out if podcasting is for you in this easy to understand presentation.

AFTERNOON PRESENTATION:

Building Your Influence Through Podcasting

Dave A. Jackson: Owner, School of Podcasting

People support companies and people that they know, like, and trust. In this session, I will show you real examples of podcasters who are growing their influence with podcasting. You will learn the riches are in the niches and how others have harnessed the law of reciprocity into business relationships.

You will see examples of listener loyalty that were built using a podcast, and how your audience can often exceed your largest expectations.

You will learn more about the equipment needed to start a podcast and see the steps it takes to create an actual episode (it’s easier than you think). You will hear the story of one author who used podcasting to be #2 on Amazon (as in ALL of Amazon).

You will also hear straight talk about what it takes to make a good podcast, and how to budget your time.

Podcasting can open so many doors, and I will share some amazing stories of real podcasters who have had their dreams come true because of their podcast.

There will be plenty of time for questions at the end so come and get your questions answered and position yourself to start your own podcast and be seen as an expert in your field.

We will cover:

1. How to determine the topic of your podcast.
2. How to design the format that best helps you reach your goals.
3. What microphone will best suit your budget.
