CALL FOR ENTRIES—2016 BAIPA BOOK AWARDS

BAIPA is Pleased to Announce
the 2016 BAIPA Book Awards Contest

Entries are being accepted now—the deadline to enter is July 11

BooksThe awards program is an excellent opportunity for your book to be reviewed and publicly recognized. Cash prizes will be given in a number of fiction and non-fiction genres. To participate in the awards program, you must be a current member of BAIPA. You will find the judging criteria detailed on the entry form.

You may submit books that were published during the period January 1, 2015–July 11, 2016, and have not previously been submitted for a BAIPA book award.

Cost to Enter: EARLY BIRD until June 14: $45 per title. Afterwards: $60 per title.
You can submit either printed books (hard or soft cover) or an eBook edition. All submissions must be complete and postmarked no later than July 11, 2016.

For each title, please bring three (3) printed editions of your book and a completed form to either the June of July BAIPA meetings, or you may mail the books and form to:

For eBook submissions (pdf only), send your PDF eBook or a link to a download of your ebook (pdf) to: [email protected], along with a scanned copy of your Book Awards Program form.

Winners:  Award winners will be notified by mail and will receive certificates and stickers. The winners will also be recognized at a special awards ceremony during the December meeting.

All books are considered for Best Cover and Best Design awards. The judges may also decide to award some books “Best of” category awards. While we typically use the category specified on your entry, we reserve the option to select an alternate category if deemed appropriate.

The decisions of the judges and the Book Awards Program Coordinator are final. Books become the property of BAIPA and will not be returned.

Welcome to BAIPA

Current BAIPA members do not need to register for our monthly meetings. The night before the meetings, they will receive the Zoom info. However, members must log in to get a discounted ticket for workshops.

BAIPA Monthly Meetings

IMPORTANT
BAIPA is now meeting on the first Saturday of every month via Zoom only for now. In general, if the first Saturday falls on a holiday or holiday weekend, we will meet on the second Saturday.

We are also having workshops on the third Saturday of every month (also via Zoom only for now. In general, if the regular monthly meeting moves to the second Saturday, then the workshop will be two weeks later.
